Hetty’s Pizza is a family, wood fire pizza maker. Our vision is simple: Make a great pizza, and offer it at a great price.
Travis is the “idea man/ pizza creator” and came up with the idea to have a pizza truck to sell great pizza to small towns in WY. From pizza stone to pizza steel in the kitchen oven, to perfecting the pies in our wood fired oven, making pizza has been his passion. After 5 years of slinging pies from our pizza truck, a new iteration is finally here. We are busy in our prep kitchen making partially baked, frozen pizzas to share with our loyal customer base as well as our new friends who have not yet tried the best pizza in northern Wyoming. If you think you’ve had a good frozen pizza, you haven’t tried ours yet. Either our pies are the best you’ve had or your money back.
Elizabeth is the business side of the business. She is concrete-sequential, organized, and a bottom line kind of gal. Not to mention, she is a damn fine pizzaiola. Without her dedication to the operational success of Hetty’s, we would have never made it out of conception.
Our two kids, Wesley and Evelyn, are learning the ropes of owning your own business, making pizza, and growing a dream from the ground up. They’ve been officially hired by Hetty’s and contribute to it’s success by working when they can and adding to the charm of a family-run business.
Both of us grew up in Worland, WY, just over the hill, and though we never dated when we were in high school, we ended up meeting, fortuitously, while Elizabeth was waiting tables at a restaurant in Billings. We exchanged phone numbers, and the rest is history as they say. We were married 5 years later at our hunting camp on the Bighorns. We spent a good portion of our early years split between work and play. We worked for half the year, saving every dime we could, and then we travelled for the rest of the year.
We then decided to go back to school and get our teaching certifications. We both got teaching jobs in Casper, WY then took the opportunity to move to Sheridan, WY, and we’ve been here for the last 9 years. It has the small town vibe we grew up with, a supportive and thriving community, and close to the mountains we love.
After working the food truck for 5 years, we went back to teaching, both of us, but Travis could never shake the idea of bringing our pizza to the masses. Now, we are more excited than ever to be able to offer our products in a more convenient way and to a larger population of folks like you. So, that’s our story and were excited for you to enjoy our artisan pizzas with the convenience of pulling one out of the freezer and firing up a una pizza molto buona in less than 10 minutes!
